I am a Falcon !

Ok.. so this is something that I have been wanting to post for quite sometime. However, have not been able to since I dint have the photos for the same. Today I received the photos and Bingo..

The SlashSupport “Open House” (a half yearly event recognizing the performance of employees) was held on the 28th of October 2006. I was awarded the Falcon Award for the Outstanding contribution, commitment, dedication and performance in the organization.

The Falcon awards were instated this year the highest award an employee could be awarded in the company. The Falcon was selected as choice for the award due to its attributes – courage, intelligence, ferocity in attack, but gentle in repose – and discipline.

It was truly a proud moment for me to be recognized as a Falcon. In the above photo you can see me receiving the award from Shiv, who is the Founder and Chairman of the group. He said he was very happy and proud of me – words that give you a lot of happiness and cheer to hear.

I was then asked to speak about how I felt and I spoke a few words about how the journey from a few hundred employees to a few thousands has been. (When I joined the company about 4.5 years back it probably had about 150 folks – now it is 3500 +)

A Golden moment in my Life… the falcon sits on my desk . specially crafted by a designer and made out of brass, it weighs about 1.5 kilos. I plan to upload a much clearer photo of the Falcon at a later date.
